It's probably because of the pendant with the crystal pokemon that also glowed.
Paradoxe : If they're still in the Kanto Region then obviously they can't know about that. -___- Besides, they were more focused on the fact that it was shiny than its body texture.
And that ancient pokeball actually had a pokemon in it, turn out to be a shiny Rayquaza
I was like "really, shiny Rayquaza??" when I saw that. Wtf. Dude really had a legendary all that time.
fr XD
Paradoxe : And it also had an oddly crystallized texture... What could it mean. -___- Spoiler alert : We all know what it means.
It's definitely terrastallisation as it resonated with Liko's Terapagos pendant.
Coincidently I got a Shiny Rayquaza via Home Wonder Trade and don't know what to do with it.
Noice
Not long now till Home compatibility with SV, should be by the end of May at the latest
lol nice
i want to know the last trainer to have that they are either an idiot or died if they lost a shiny rayquaza
Lmao same
It was very exciting and hyped to see that shiny Rayquaza, I never thought we would even see that Pokémon lol, and a shiny at that! Wow
Love how the anime is trying making sure that this isn’t going be the first we see of this Rayquaza! Can’t wait to see it again.
That part was predictable based on the preview for the series and the preview for this episode.
SPOILER ALERT!
Lycanroc New Form haha
Everyone in here talking about Shiny Rayquaza, but can we just take a moment to appreciate how ADORABLE Hogator is??
Best starter of the latest generation. Adorably derpy and an excellent final form, although it's weird how it doesn't naturally learn any ghost-type moves despite it's typing.
Absolutely the highlight of my day every time we see it animated, it just seems to have so much fun.
Second! Also, Roy is so lucky to have seen a Shiny Rayquaza coming out of the ancient Pokeball... <3
To be honest it didn’t feel nor looked like the Rayquaza came out of the ancient Pokeball, it more looked liked it got “Summoned” instead.
I feel like the ancient pokeball and Liko pendant synchronized together to summon this Rayquaza.
Mmm now i feel like the power of the pendant and the ancient pokeball could do other stuff. But we’ll see, I like that, it’s exciting.
My exact same feelings, I stand besides the "Rayquaza was summoned" theory until it's proven wrong, Roy's pokeball is one of the main plot points of this show and there's no way it will get brushed asides now that this Rayquaza is free.
yea i have to agree with you there the key to unlocking the ancient pokeball it seems to be the pendant which is what summoned the rayquaza
I also feel that, what if this Ancient Trainer is the real owner of the Pendant along with the Pokeball, that is why when it Sycnhronize (Glow) it hears the Trainer(s) desire or wish. So the Pendant full capability can only be use with the Pokeball (Well it still can do barrier tho even before being near the Ancient Pokeball). But let's wait on how the story go~
nah it looked more like a hologram or a illusion. it didnt look solid like a real pokemon
If it was an illusion then what about its attack? Surely those flaming rocks that impacted into the sand were all smokes and mirrors according to what you just said, right?
draco meteor yup
*shiny rayquaza appears*
Friede: I dont get paid enough
So the boss of the new criminal organization is...Aizen.
will everything be part of his plan?
Espada meeting
Ofc it will be, this must be one of those crossover episodes.
if he is anything like Aizen then yes if not then it was a part of his plan for it to not be a part of his plan
Crying tears of happiness for Roy and Hogator 😭
If you are cut by its blades, a certain thing will leak out. It is....Life Energy
I am pretty sure blood will leak out
if you are on the tokusatsu univerve is sparks that come out
"Life Energy", "Blood" ... To me it's the same except that "Life Energy" sounds milder.
They really incorporated the starters' abilities wow
And they didn't even tell us this time. They just showed us.
Alright... so we can discard the theory that the Legendary Adventurer was Ash, unless somehow he got his hands on more powerful Pokeballs than the Masterball and went on catching Legendaries left and right... that would be silly tho.
Still, of all the legendary Pokemons out there the last one I was expecting was Rayquaza, and a Shiny no less! However, was that Rayquaza inside that Pokeball tho? What if it wasn't inside of it but it was called by it? After all it didn't returned when Roy ordered it to... unless this Rayquaza still obeys the Legendary Adventurer only.
Also... can we say that the Explorers are on their way on becoming a great antagonist group? They seem to be hella organized with multiple teams and multiple leaders, that will make things even more dynamic by having a diverse cast of bad guys, instead of... you know... the same "bad guys" for over 25 years lol.
We shall see about that although the I'm glad they're not same bad guys for like, forever ya know what I mean. Lol.
Also that PP.
I honestly think it was more like the later.. Shiny Rayquaza didn't came from the Pokeball, but it was summoned instead, hence why it didn't return to the Pokeball..
Legendary pokemon was amazing, Roy had it all this time and did not even know.
Yo, a black shiny Rayquaza?
Was the mythical adventurer Nobunaga?
Would the mythical adventurer be shown to us later? Or is it gonna be Ash's Dad situation?
I doubt we'll ever see the mythical adventurer.
Yeah maybe you're right. Kinda wanna see a cool mythical adventurer backstory rather than usual plots pokemon throws around but we'll see what horizons gotta bring to the table.
I wonder if it was roy's grandfather
seems doubtful they would acknowledge one of the few pokemon crossover games in this anime, especially one thats over a decade old and actually uses characters from another franchise thats not SSB.
besides, that rayquaza seemed like it was terastallized and there are multiple "ancient heros" in the franchise like sir aaron(first main anime) and sinnoh's ancient hero that took on arceus with the ancestors of the 5 noble pokemon and 5 ride pokemon in pla
Master Gibeon?........More like AIZEN-sama
Surely anyone else noticed the Shiny Rayquaza having terastallized scales despite lacking the Tera headpiece.
